Pelican 1200 Custom Foam Insert
The Pelican 1200 is small enough to go in a backpack, and the stock pick-and-pluck foam is the first thing to wear out. We CNC-cut a Pelican 1200 custom foam insert with a pocket for each item: a compact pistol and magazines, a GoPro kit, a mini drone, radios or meters.

The 1200 interior is 9.31" x 7.13", so every pocket counts. A routed closed-cell insert uses the space better than plucked cubes: pockets are cut to the outline of each item, with finger notches so you can lift things out.

Pelican lists the 1200 Protector interior at 9.31" x 7.13" x 4.12". With 4.12" of total depth, most layouts use one cut base layer plus the factory egg-crate lid foam.

Do you make custom foam for the Pelican 1200?

Will a pistol fit in a Pelican 1200?
A compact pistol up to about 7" overall with two magazines fits the 1200 floor. Full-size pistols with lights are a better match for the Pelican 1400 or 1500.
Can I keep the lid foam that came with the case?
Yes. If the egg-crate lid foam is still springy, keep it and replace only the base layer. Tell us and we size the base to close snug against it.
