The Pelican 1500 is the classic two-pistol and camera case. We CNC-cut a Pelican 1500 custom foam insert to the 16.75" x 11.18" interior with a pocket for every item: pistols, magazines, a camera body and lenses, or a drone with its controller.
Pelican 1500 foam insert, cut to your gear
Plucked foam in a 1500 usually fails first around the magazine pockets. A routed closed-cell insert keeps every pocket crisp, and the finger notches make the items easy to lift.

Pelican 1500 interior dimensions for foam
Pelican lists the 1500 Protector interior at 16.75" x 11.18" x 6.12". Most two-pistol layouts use a 1.5" bottom pad plus a cut layer of 3" to 3.5", leaving the lid foam in place.

Yes. Two full-size pistols with weapon lights fit side by side on the 16.75" x 11.18" floor with room for four to six magazines along the edge.
Do I need to replace the lid foam?
Usually not. The egg-crate lid foam presses the gear down into the pockets. We size the base layers so the case closes snug against it.
