Plano gun case foam, cut to fit
Plano cases usually ship with egg-crate or pick-and-pluck foam. Once it tears or compresses, rifles and pistols start to shift. A replacement insert routed from closed-cell cross-linked foam holds its shape for years.

What to measure on a Plano case
Base interior
Length and width across the floor of the base, wall to wall. Many Plano cases have molded ribs or rounded corners – note where they are so the insert clears them.
Base and lid depth separately
Plano gun cases often split the depth unevenly between base and lid. Tell us both so the foam layers add up to a snug close.
Hinge and latch intrusions
Hinges and latches that protrude inside the case need a relief cut in the foam. A quick photo of the inside shows us where.

The price shows as you build. Nothing is cut until you approve the layout.
