SKB foam inserts
SKB cases are common for audio, instrument, camera and firearm kits. When the original foam wears out, we cut an SKB foam insert to the same interior, with pockets for your exact gear – or as solid layers if you want to cut it yourself.
Nanuk case foam
Nanuk cases – from compact models like the 904 and 909 up to wheeled cases like the 975 and long cases like the 991 and 995 – take custom replacement foam the same way: send the model number and what goes inside.
Layer planning for SKB and Nanuk cases
- Deep cases – build from solid base layers with one cut layer on top, so heavy items sit low and do not bottom out.
- Audio and instrument kits – leave cable channels and a finger-pull at each connector so leads come out without bending.
- Wheeled cases – put the heaviest item next to the wheels; the case tracks better and the handle side stays light.
- Lid foam – a flat or lightly profiled lid layer holds everything down when the case is stood on end.

Open the online foam designer and choose your case from the list, or type the interior length, width and depth.
Lay out your gear
Drop items in from the gear library or draw each pocket to size. Prefer not to? Send us a gear list and a straight-down photo instead.
Approve the layout and price
The price shows as you build. Nothing is cut until you approve the layout.

Do you make SKB foam inserts?
Yes. We cut SKB foam inserts to the interior of your SKB case, with pockets for your gear or as solid layers.
Can you replace the foam in a Nanuk case?
Yes. Send your Nanuk model number, such as 909, 935 or 975, and a list of what the case holds, and we cut a replacement insert, or pick your Nanuk from the case list in the online foam designer.
Do I need to send you my case?
No. The model number or the interior measurements are enough for most cases.
